1 Week Internship:

• Open water diver with Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB) speciality (Entry-level divers can complete the prerequisites at an extra cost before starting)

2 Week & 1 Month Eco Internships:

• Advanced Open Water (Entry-level divers can complete the prerequisites at an extra cost before starting)

3 Month Eco-Divemaster Internship (Eco DMT)

• Minimum 18 years old, Rescue Diver certification, EFR trained, 40 logged dives (Entry-level divers can complete prerequisites before starting the Eco-DMT)

Absolutely! You can complete your Open Water, Advanced Open Water, or any other required certifications with us before starting your internship.

Not at all! We welcome participants from all backgrounds. You’ll receive full training and support throughout the program.

Your day will usually start in the classroom, where you'll attend presentations and hands-on workshops. In the afternoon, you'll head out for two dives focused on one of our conservation projects. After the dives, you'll help record and submit data. Evenings are yours to relax, explore, or enjoy time with your new dive family.

Yes! You’ll have 2 days off per week to explore Koh Tao at your own pace, whether that’s snorkelling, hiking or just relaxing 🙂

By interning with Inside the Ocean, you’ll play an active role in marine conservation through our eco projects — making a direct impact on Koh Tao’s local environment while contributing to global ocean research.
